Pakenham parkrun Event Number 85 - 7th May 2016

On Saturday, we had perfect weather conditions and 94 in attendance. Of these 94, we had a couple of tourists from our neighbours at Frog Hollow and some lovely ladies from Lilydale Lake. We also had 6 first timers to parkrun, welcome!

It was a day of presentations. We had the pleasure of presenting Charlotte Hill with her Junior 10 Club membership certificate, welcomed Albin Hess to the 50 Club, and congratulated Adrian Hines for being our parkrunner of the Month of April for his fantastic support of Pakenham parkrun.

It was great to see the happy return of Brett Mills to Pakenham parkrun after nearly 4 months of injury! Welcome back, Brett!

One of the parkrun tourists from Lilydale made sure she made the most of our fantastic volunteer camera-people while visiting Pakenham.

Thanks everyone for actively volunteering at Pakenham parkrun! The roster is relatively full till the end of the month but please have a look and fill in the gaps where you can.

Thank you to our amazing volunteers! So that everyone can have an opportunity to run, we ask that runners volunteer around 3 times a year. Volunteering provides enjoyment, satisfaction and allows people to give back to their community, and without volunteers, parkrun would not be possible.

In order for parkrun to run every week we need volunteers. If you would like to assist, you can email us at pakenhamhelpers@parkrun.com, fill in the roster at the shelter or talk to your Run Director at the event. Please check the future roster at:

www.parkrun.com.au/pakenham/futureroster

Due to insurance purposes, we require all our volunteers to also be registered with parkrun, so please ensure that you are registered so we can add you to the roster!

We would like to thank the Cardinia Shire Council and the Pakenham Racing Club for their support in getting us up and running.

Don't forget the lovely offer from Cardinia Life for all our members with a barcode (to be shown at reception) to obtain free access to their swimming pool and showers until 11am every Saturday indefinitely!! Please note: You just have to arrive by 11am, but can stay ALL DAY :-)

PLEASE NOTE: All our photos of the event are uploaded to our facebook page - Pakenham parkrun
