Pakenham parkrun Event Number 114 - 26th November 2016

Great conditions today if you are a duck or want a PB at parkrun. No wind, cool temp, a slight bit of rain to keep you feeling fresh. We had five of our superstar runners take full advantage and bring home a new time to beat.
We also had a few late starters who must have been torn between the ever elusive Saturday morning sleep in and the chance to join their friends and get the blood pumping at the best place to start your weekend. I think they made the right decision. Although sleeping in will cost you a good car park.

A very relaxed start line

As always it was great to see so many families getting involved. Young runners and kids in Prams always enjoying the morning activities.

I don’t think I have ever seen as many dogs at parkrun on one day as today. No surprise that Bill Barkley was the first dog across the line

Thank you to our amazing volunteers! So that everyone can have an opportunity to run, we ask that runners volunteer around 3 times a year. Without volunteers, parkrun would not be possible.

Volunteering provides enjoyment, satisfaction and allows people to give back to their community, and without volunteers, parkrun would not be possible. In order for parkrun to run every week we need volunteers. If you would like to assist, you can email us at pakenhamhelpers@parkrun.com, fill in the roster at the shelter or talk to your Run Director at the event. Please check the future roster at: www.parkrun.com.au/pakenham/futureroster

Due to insurance purposes, we require all our volunteers to also be registered with parkrun, so please ensure that you are registered so we can add you to the roster!
We would like to thank the Cardinia Shire Council and the Pakenham Racing Club for their support in getting us up and running.

PLEASE NOTE: All our photos of the event are uploaded to our facebook page - Pakenham parkrun.
