Pakenham parkrun Event Number 90 - 11th June 2016

Winter is definitely upon us and was evident this week, however, it did not stop the 58 dedicated parkrunners that turned up - including 2 first timers. Well done!!

Our April Volunteer was back after some injury issues, so we got to thank Andrew for his awesome contributions and support as well as present him with his medal. Thank you Andrew!

Bruce has also recently completed 50 parkruns. Such a great achievement and we look forward to seeing him donning the red shirt in the near future. Well done Bruce!

As we mentioned in our run briefing, Cardinia Life will be under new management effective 1st July, so we are in negotiations as to whether we will be able to continue having our free access to the pool and shower facilities after the end of this month. Will advise the outcome once known. Thanks!

Upcoming Events:

25th June - Pacer Week. Getting close to that desired time? Use a pacer to reach your goal.

9th July - Kids Event. Our parkrun kids take on all our volunteer roles and show us how it's done!

Thank you to our amazing volunteers! So that everyone can have an opportunity to run, we ask that runners volunteer around 3 times a year. Volunteering provides enjoyment, satisfaction and allows people to give back to their community, and without volunteers, parkrun would not be possible. In order for parkrun to run every week we need volunteers. If you would like to assist, you can email us at pakenhamhelpers@parkrun.com, fill in the roster at the shelter or talk to your Run Director at the event.

Please check the future roster at: www.parkrun.com.au/pakenham/futureroster

Due to insurance purposes, we require all our volunteers to also be registered with parkrun, so please ensure that you are registered so we can add you to the roster!

We would like to thank the Cardinia Shire Council and the Pakenham Racing Club for their support in getting us up and running.

PLEASE NOTE: All our photos of the event are uploaded to our facebook page - Pakenham parkrun
