Pakenham parkrun Event Number 92 - 25th June 2016
This week was Pacer Week which is always a favourite of our runners, but my goodness, wasn't it a chilly start?
We welcomed another parkrunner to the Junior 10 Club - Congratulations Kai. You are doing a great job!
We were lucky enough to be visited by 2 tourists whose home parkrun is Albert Melbourne parkrun. Thanks for visiting and we hope to see you again!
Some shots from the field:
Thank you to our pacers who are parkrunners as well as member of the Pakenham Road Runners. We appreciate their support and eagerness to help others reach their running goals.
Upcoming Events:
9th July - Kids Event. Our parkrun kids take on all our volunteer roles and show us how it's done!
Thank you to our amazing volunteers! So that everyone can have an opportunity to run, we ask that runners volunteer around 3 times a year. Volunteering provides enjoyment, satisfaction and allows people to give back to their community, and without volunteers, parkrun would not be possible. In order for parkrun to run every week we need volunteers. If you would like to assist, you can email us at pakenhamhelpers@parkrun.com, fill in the roster at the shelter or talk to your Run Director at the event.
Please check the future roster at: www.parkrun.com.au/pakenham/futureroster
Due to insurance purposes, we require all our volunteers to also be registered with parkrun, so please ensure that you are registered so we can add you to the roster!
We would like to thank the Cardinia Shire Council and the Pakenham Racing Club for their support in getting us up and running.
PLEASE NOTE: All our photos of the event are uploaded to our facebook page - Pakenham parkrun
