Pakenham parkrun Event Number 123 - 21st January 2017
This week saw great weather conditions which brought out 123 parkrunners. There were 10 first timers and 15 PB’s. Well done to everyone.
It was with great pleasure that we got to congratulate Vaughan De Riggs on his fantastic effort in reaching 100 parkruns. 71 of these were run at Pakenham. Great work Vaughan.
As always it’s great to see our parkrunners having lots of fun and our photographer Kevin managed to get some awesome jump shots.
Thank you to our amazing volunteers! So that everyone can have an opportunity to run, we ask that runners volunteer around 3 times a year. Without volunteers, parkrun would not be possible.
In order for parkrun to run every week we need volunteers. If you would like to assist, you can email us at pakenhamhelpers@parkrun.com, fill in the roster at the shelter or talk to your Run Director at the event. Please check the future roster at:
www.parkrun.com.au/pakenham/futureroster
Due to insurance purposes, we require all our volunteers to also be registered with parkrun, so please ensure that you are registered so we can add you to the roster!
We would like to thank the Cardinia Shire Council and the Pakenham Racing Club for their support in getting us up and running.
PLEASE NOTE: All our photos of the event are uploaded to our facebook page - Pakenham parkrun
